It is with much esteem and regard we recommend our faculty.

Our intelligent, competent faculty train students to provide skilled, structured and safe touch in a nurturing environment, creating a relationship that joins people in a healing partnership. All instructors meet the credentialing requirements of the State of Colorado and ACCSC.

Mark Braukman, RMT, and C.N. ™ -  a graduate of Colorado University, has an M. A., Biology, B.S., Medical Technology, B.A. in Zoology.   Mark is  a graduate from the Colorado School of Healing Arts Massage Therapy Program and is the Director of Education for CSHA Degree Programs. He has been with the school since 1992 and plays a significant role in the continued development of the CSHA training programs.  Mark has completed more than 130 semester hours of continuing education in bodywork and nutrition in the last 10 years.

Julia Bershenyi, RPP, RCST, - Julia holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado.  She began studying healing arts at the Colorado School of Energy Studies in Boulder in 1995 and is certified in both Polarity Therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (Franklyn Sills).  Julia has a private practice in Golden.  She finds the Polarity and Craniosacral work profoundly meaningful, rewarding, and instructive, and she feels blessed and grateful to do it.  Julia has been teaching Introduction to Polarity at CSHA since 1998.

Rebekah Cavazos, RMT - graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts AOS degree program with an emphasis in Spa Arts and Science. She has worked at various local spas and currently is attending Colorado Christian University to obtain her bachelors degree in psychology. She teaches Hydrotherapy, Spa Treatments 1 and 2 and Spa Clinical.

Wendy Carroll, RMT, B.S.,- in Business from the University of Colorado.  She is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts 1000 Massage Therapy Program and Reflexology Program.  Wendy teaches Massage Level 3 and the CSHA Business class.

Amy Chavez, RMT - is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts Massage Therapy and Trauma Touch Therapy Programs.  Amy has a private massage practice and is currently completing her studies in acupuncture. She teaches Applied Kinesiology and AK Concepts for CSHA.

Brenda Churchill, RMT, RN, BSN - graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Science College of Nursing and the CSHA 700 hour Massage Therapy program. Brenda has a successful massage therapy practice in Nederland Colorado and teaches Massage Level 1 and 2 and Massage Clinic. Brenda loves being witness to her students growth and respectfully acknowledges that her students are also her greatest teachers.

Dawn Essig, RMT - holds a B.A. in History from the University of Northern Colorado and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts Massage program. Dawn has a private practice in massage therapy and teaches Physiology, Massage Level 2 and Neuroanatomy at CSHA. She believes in the limitless learning potential of all students and works with the individual needs of students in both academic and bodywork classes.

Laura Golay, RMT - graduated from the AOS Degree program and received certifications in Sports Massage and Cranial Sacral therapy from CSHA. She is currently completing her BS degree in nursing. Laura teaches Massage Levels 1 through 3, Palpation of Anatomy and Integrated Massage. She also tutors students needing extra assistance. Laura enjoys teaching massage and seeing the excitement students have in their learning process.

Jodie Hansen, RMT, - a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts 1000 Massage Therapy Program.  In addition to her private massage practice, she is also a Certified Pilates Instructor, Organic Chef and Master Gardener. Jodie works to provide a classroom atmosphere that is both educational, spontaneous, respectful, considerate, humorous and passionate. Jodie teaches Spa Reflexology and PreNatal Massage.

Judy Harper, RMT - is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts. In addition to a successful private practice she teaches Massage Level I for CSHA.  Judy loves the art of massage; she feels the mastery of the art is gained through close attention to methods/technique as well as the refinement of natural gifts.  Judy has been teaching for the school since 2002.

Alice Henderson, RMT- holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Colorado and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts 1000 Hour Massage Therapy Program.  Alice has a private practice and works at St. Anthony Hospital as a Massage Therapist.  She loves learning and loves being able to provide the basic educational tools that will facilitate the continuous education of a massage therapist.  Alice teaches Anatomy and Palpation of Anatomy.

Tanya Hircock, RMT, B.A. - is a graduate in Behavioral Science in Education from Metro State College in Denver. She is also a graduate of the CSHA 700 Hour Massage Therapy program. Tanya specializes in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™ and a licensed cosmetologist. Tanya teaches Massage Level 1.

Michele Hodapp, RMT - is a graduate of CSHA and currently completing her AOS Degree in Massage Therapy. Michele has a private practice in Wheat Ridge Colorado and teaches Massage Level 2 and Hydrostone. Michele's passion and motivation supports her students in achieving their goals and dreams.

Brandon Hoy, RMT- is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) Degree in Massage Therapy and specializes in Cranial Sacral Therapy. Brandon is one of the Cranial Sacral instructors for CSHA and a member of the CSHA administration.

Cheryl Johnson, RMT, - is a graduate of the CSHA 700 Hour Massage Therapy Program and the CSHA Sports, Lymphatic Drainage and Oncology Massage Programs.  Her successful private practice which focuses on Oncology Massage for clients in the different stages of cancer; terminal treatment, recovery and survivors has given Cheryl not only the experience in working with clients with cancer but also the support and respect of the medical healthcare community. She teaches Oncology Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, and Massage I & II for CSHA.

Bob Morgan, RMT, -  M.S., Biochemistry/Microbiology, M. S., Physiology, B.S., Biology, B.A., Chemistry.  Bob is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts and has his own private practice.  He has worked as a Medical Chemist, Researcher, Investigator, and Technologist and has written over 20 published medical research publications. He teaches Physiology, Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, and Spa Sciences.  He is also a member of the CSHA program development committee and has had a significant role in the continued development of the sciences in the CSHA programs since 1994.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emily Nelson, RMT, - holds a B.S. from Metro College in Denver.  She is a graduate of the CSHA 1000 Hour Massage Therapy Program and Reflexology Program.  Emily is currently completing her Masters Degree at Regis University in adult education. She has a successful private practice and teaches Massage Level I, II, Integrative Massage and Reflexology Level 2. Emily is passionate about working with students and bearing witness to the exploration and actualization of their dreams and goals.

Elizabeth O’Donnell, D.C., RMT, - holds a B.S. in Dance from State University of New York in Brockport.   She is  also a graduate from the National Holistic Institute and the School of Orthopedic Massage and Life Chiropractic College  in California.   She teaches Anatomy, Palpation of Anatomy and Massage Level 1 for the Colorado School of Healing Arts.

Denyce Ortiz, RMT,- holds a B.A. in modern languages from Metro State College, she  is a licensed Esthetician and a graduate from the Colorado School of Healing Arts 700 Hour Massage Therapy Program.  Denyce believes that every personal contact she makes brings her closer to engaging her full potential. She teaches Hydrotherapy, Spa Management and Spa Treatments 1 and 2.

Chastity Osborn, RMT, TTT™ - is a graduate of the AOS Degree program from Colorado School of Healing Arts and has a successful private massage practice in Lakewood Colorado. She has worked at St. Anthony's Hospital doing massage and energy work on the pre-surgery, ortho/neuro and critical care units. Chastity teaches Reflexology Level 1.

Kirk Phillips, RMT -  a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts 700 Hour Massage Therapy Program.  Kirk is a massage therapist at the JC Penny Spa in Park Meadows.  He is a clinic and library/lab supervisor for CSHA.

Jeff Poncar, RMT - holds a BS in Leisure Studies at Kent State University and a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts. He has a successful mobile massage business, specializing in sports, deep tissue, neuromuscular and on-site corporate chair massage. Jeff gets satisfaction passing on knowledge and instilling pride in his students. Jeff teaches Sports Massage Level 1.

Tim Ransom, RMT -is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts 1000  Hour Massage Therapy Program and has completed  advanced training  in Sports, Positional Release, Trauma Touch Therapy, Cranial Sacral, and Lymphatic Drainage.  He has a successful private practice which specializes in lymphatic drainage and has been a member of the CSHA faculty since 1998.  Tim teaches Lymphatic Drainage and Sports Massage Levels ll and III.

Jeanne Ratchford, RMT, B.S. in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts AOS Degree in Massage Therapy with an emphasis on Oncology Massage and Lymphatic Drainage.  Jeanne teaches Integrative Massage and Massage II. She has her own private practice and provides massage at Hospice of Saint John’s in Lakewood.

Jennifer Reinbrecht, RMT, B.A., M.S. - in Sociology from Hood College, MD and South Dakota State University respectively. Jennifer is also a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts Refloxology and the 1000 Hour Massage programs. She maintains a successful massage practice incorporating injury, surgical recovery, neuromuscular, myofascial release and Ortho-Bionomy®. Jennifer's passion is helping people reconnect with , integrate and feel whole in body, mind and spirit. She teaches Pathology, Physiology and Spa Sciences.

Barbara Salage, RMT, - graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 1997 and has a successful private practice located in Arvada.  She teaches Healing Touch Level I, Body Centered Therapy and Aromatherapy for the school.  Patience, insight and confidence defines her work as well as her teaching which inspires students to trust in both their technical and internal skills.

Connie Sanchez, N.D. - is a graduate of National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. The core of her practice is Naturopathic Endocrinology and Lifestyle Medicine: teaching patients how to optimize their diet, nutrition & fitness, stress reduction & management, hormone balancing & detoxification. Connie teaches Diet and Nutrition.

Donielle Saxton, RMT,-  B.A . in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado.  She is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts 700 Hour Massage Therapy Program. Donielle is certified in Kinesis Myofascial Integration and is considered an expert in identifying patterns of function and dysfunction.  Donielle teaches Physiology, Sports Massage Level I and Massage Level III for CSHA.

Jan Schuster, RMT - has both a B.A. and M.A. in communications, from Marquette University and Loyola University, respectively. She is a graduate from CSHA with advanced certifications in Neuromuscular and Sports Massage. She has had a full time private practice since 2001 and works in a Physical Therapy clinic. She is passionate about the benefits of massage, especially in combination with complementary modalities found in a rehab setting. Jan teaches the Advanced Neuromuscular program.

Gina Simpson, RMT, - graduated from the Florida School of Massage in 1986 and joined CSHA in 1990. She is also a graduate of the CSHA Trauma Touch Program™, Lymphatic Drainage Program and the Cranial Sacral Program.  Gina teaches Infant Massage for CSHA.  Gina enjoys teaching Infant Massage at CSHA because she believes passionately in the importance of massaging infants and children early in life to create more peace and calm in their world. Gina is also the school Director.

Chris Smith, RMT, TTT™ - Director of Education; Chris attended the University of New Mexico and Colorado State University and is a graduate of  the Colorado School of Healing Arts and completed her studies in Hakomi Integrative Somatics. Chris has been with CSHA since 1988 and is member of the program development committee as well as an instructor of the internationally recognized Trauma Touch Therapy™ Program.

Jan Wells, RMT - is a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts Massage and Reflexology programs. She has a successful private practice in Denver and enjoys providing a safe environment for the students to learn and discover themselves. Jan teaches Massage Clinic and Massage Level 1.

Kristen Will, RMT - B. A., Liberal Arts, Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington.  Kris is a graduate of the CSHA 1000 hour Massage Therapy Program and the Oncology and Lymphatic Drainage programs. Kris is the Assistant Director of Education and coordinator of the CSHA Library Resource Center. She has been teaching at CSHA since 1993 and currently teaches Oncology Massage Level 1. She also is a member of the CSHA program development committee.

Stanley Zweber, RMT, - B.A. in Geography from the University of Colorado.  Stan is a graduate of the CSHA Massage Therapy Program and the 530 Hour Cranial Sacral Program and teaches beginning and advanced Seated Massage courses for the school. He has a private practice in Boulder and provides chair massage in numerous corporate and retail settings.  He has pursued his passion for the healing arts with continued advanced studies in Cranial Sacral Therapy and traditional Peruvian healing modalities.
