Course Description
Swedish Massage is a basic massage technique and style
which forms the foundation on which other modalities are
based. This course will present the eight basic strokes
of Swedish Massage as well as self awareness of body mechanics.
Emphasis given to self awareness and personal growth will
provide students with an internal knowledge base. Included
are discussions/lectures on indications/contraindications
of massage, hydrotherapy, sexuality and AIDS, ethics and
massage with special populations.
